The new concept includes features such as wider seats (18 inches in economy) and aisles, spacious and contemporary lavatories, larger overhead storage bins, unobstructed under-seat foot space and LED technology ambient lighting (among others).
The Portuguese carrier will be the launch customer for its A330 neo aircraft (by the end of next year), and in doing so will also be the launch customer for the new Airspace cabin by the European manufacturer.
François Caudron, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Airbus said this new cabin concept was “Developed with passengers at heart and airlines in mind, Airspace encompasses four pillars: Comfort, Ambience, Services and Design and will ensure that Airbus cabins continue to be the benchmark in passenger experience and airline value.”
