"Aspire, The Lounge and Spa" will make its debut at the British Airways (BA) terminal (T5) and is a joint venture between Swissport and Priority Pass.
What does this means for the regular travelers?
Quite simply, the ability to use a lounge when flying BA even if traveling economy or premium economy class (World Traveller/World Traveller Plus).
T5 is solely used by the British carrier and Iberia at the moment (they are both owned by the IAG group). This means that until now, unless you're flying BA Executive or First Class, you couldn't use any of the lounges at this terminal.
With this move, all travelers using T5 will be able to rest, refresh or get some work done at the lounge while waiting for their flight regardless their class of travel.
The use of a lounge at an airport can make a huge difference in the whole experience of flying. Instead of just "waiting", you can make good use of your time! You can relax and "escape" the busy airport pace, prepare for your next flight or even catch up some work. As far as we're concerned, flying is not only the ability of going form point "A" to "B" but an overall experience...
No details about pricing or opening date of this lounge have been revealed yet, but we'll keep you up-to-date on this at The Hub!
