An unbiased review for a unique hotel experience in Paris
This refurbished 19th century building is the home of one of Paris’ first modern-inspired and designer hotels.
The hotel, comprised of three buildings that surround a small cobblestone and cubic (!) courtyard, welcomes visitors with a Louvre inspired glass-cube reception. The bold combination of modern and classic architecture creates an interesting visual impression and sets the tone for the hotel’s modern styling.
The ultra-modern decor is most clearly represented by futuristic furniture pieces and pop art that can be found throughout the hotel.
The Ice Bar
With a capacity of just twenty persons, patrons have to pay 38 Euros (around 40 USD) for a maximum half-hour session in the Ice Kube Bar, offering wonderful Grey Goose cocktails at minus 5 degrees Celsius. Does it worth the price?! Absolutely!
It took almost 20 tons of ice to build this bar, and it’s an amazing drinking and social experience. In the lounge, just outside of the bar, you can taste amazing “apperifoods”, unique small entrees and finger food where you’ll find a new approach to French cuisine, taking it to a new, futuristic level, just like the whole experience you’ll get in this hotel.
